According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Giants are looking for a return of two first-round draft picks as a starting point in any Beckham trade discussions:
While rumors have been swirling this week during the NFL Annual Meeting in Orlando that teams such as the Los Angeles Rams or Cleveland Browns could make a run at acquiring Beckham, an individual with knowledge of the negotiations told NJ Advance Media Wednesday that one team not involved in the Beckham sweepstakes is the Indianapolis Colts.
Cravens sat out the entire 2017 season on the reserve/left squad list after contemplating retirement amid concussion concerns. Cravens was reinstated in February.
The 2016 second-round pick played well in his rookie season in a hybrid safety/linebacker role, compiling 34 tackles, one sack, five passes defended and an interception. The USC linebacker employs athleticism and versatility that are a commodity in today’s NFL.
Cravens’ history of concussions put his future in murky territory. If he bounces back, Denver gains a talented, versatile player as Vance Joseph attempts to remake his defense in 2018.
Advice: If Miami wants to use its first-round pick (No. 11) to fill Suh’s shoes, Washington’s Vita Vea and Alabama’s Da’Ron Payne are the clear choices, though the Dolphins could even potentially trade down to acquire more assets. Later-round prospects Miami might be targeting include Georgia’s Trenton Thompson, Florida State’s Derrick Womens Trent Williams Jersey Nnadi, and Miami’s R.J. McIntosh.
2. Deficiencies at outside linebacker have long been a sore spot. Miami needs to address this issue early in the draft.
Advice: Georgia’s Roquan Smith and Virginia Tech’s Tremaine Edmunds are potential first-round options, though both could be gone by the time Miami is on the clock. Jerome Baker from Ohio State could be a solid option in the second or third round, as could Smith’s teammate Lorenzo Carter.
