A year after mentoring OBJ, Cris Carter seems to be fed up with him

Last May, Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter mentored Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. during the offseason, defending Beckham at a time many were criticizing him for not participating in voluntary offseason workouts.

Odell is going to grow up, Carter said at the time. That why’s he is bringing other people in his life so he can grow up. If he wasn’t trying to grow up, he wouldn’t be calling Cris Carter. He’s getting people to tell him all the right stuff. He wants to be better. Not only as a er, but emotionally, Stephen Vogt Jersey as a son, friend and teammate. He’s in the process of doing that.

He realized he was too hyped for the game and put too much pressure on himself after he dropped the first pass, Carter said in May. That created anxiety. He didn’t well. He thought he was going to have a great game against Green Bay and destroy them. He tried to do too much after the first drop and that’s when the anxiety came…. What about all the [Giants] who didn’t go to Miami and ed like horse manure?

NFL senior vice president of officiating Al Riveron just tweeted out word that longtime refs Ed Hochuli and Jeff Triplette were retiring, and were being replaced in the rotation by former back judge Shawn Hochuli and side judge Alex Kemp.

The 67-year-old Hochuli, best known for his tight shirts, big arms and verbose explanations of rulings on nationally televised games, has been with the league since 1990. He’s been the league’s longest-tenured ref since 2007.

Triplette has been with the league since 1996, and hasn’t been as decorated as Hochuli. Regrettably, he’s probably best known as the official who threw the flag which injured former Ravens tackle Orlando Brown, as the flag accidentally hit Brown in the eye.
